Problem Solving and Reasoning: Division Challenge
In maths we were set given a PSR task to find 4-digit by 1-digit divisions where the remainder is 1/2. We used the skills we had gained within the week to complete this. At first we used trial and error. However, as the lesson progressed we found a technique that meant we could find solutions quicker.

Primary Maths Challenge
On 9th November Lara, Brianna, Adam and Kayleigh took part in the Bishop Barrington Maths Challenge. They entered a poster competition and took part in various mathematical challenges throughout the day, including: games, logic and relay rounds.
They went on to be overall winners and have made it to the final which will be held later in the school year – such an amazing achievement. We are all so proud of them!

Northumbria University – Maths
Some people from Northumbria University came in and visited our class to challenge us with some maths puzzles. It followed a Harry Potter theme and we had to complete various tasks to complete the game. We worked in teams and got points for each round. We were certainly tested at times but we all had a lot of fun.
